Flora
Flora is a label design for a bottled gin produced in Chile. The design is inspired by the landscapes of the north and the south of the country, from desert mountains to Patagonian skies. Warm tones refer to sunrises over northern deserts, while cool tones refer to clouds on cold Patagonian days. The label is printed on textured martele paper, and gold foil is applied to the logo, the sun and the clouds. A special die cutting process shapes the label, and embossing marks the description panel. The bottle is closed with a wooden cork.
Flora Gin by Ian Wallace was recognized as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Flora Gin earned the Golden A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
