Manzo
Manzo is a bedroom furniture collection that includes a wide chest of drawers, a standard chest of drawers and a nightstand. The design is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow seen when sunlight passes through tree leaves. Two materials are combined so that each keeps its own character while supporting the whole. The bodies are made of plywood with a walnut veneer, which removes the need for edge banding. All curves are pressed in one mold, and the upper part is carved by CNC and finished with semi-matte polyurethane paint. The glass panel can be replaced if damaged.
Manzo Bedroom Furniture by Ballinco Design Team was featured as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Manzo Bedroom Furniture was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which rewards superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
