Yutaifeng
Yutaifeng is a resort hotel interior located in Yingshan, China, with a total area of 6,300 square meters. The design is arranged around a central waterscape courtyard and draws on Chinese Jiangnan garden culture. A large dome marks the lobby, while bamboo corridors, corridor corners, tea rooms, restaurants and guest rooms are linked by a garden route along which artworks are placed. Natural materials such as wood and textured paint replace industrial synthetic materials. The lighting reveals light rather than fixtures and is adjusted for different times of day.
Yutaifeng Hotel by Ying Zhu has been identified as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yutaifeng Hotel was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
