Crochet
Crochet is a floor lamp inspired by knitting, one of the oldest decorative crafts. The metal structure resembles the interweaving of spokes during knitting, and the flexible light emitting diode cord recalls woolen threads. The matte cord forms a smooth oval, and its weight and bending behavior were studied so that the lamp looks balanced from every angle. The metal tubes are collapsible, and a cast metal element joins them at the center. Placed at the top of the lamp, the cord gives soft light for reading, work and rest.
Crochet Floor Lamp by Alexey Danilin was highlighted as a grand representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Crochet Floor Lamp won the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2025. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that rewards outstanding design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
