Sphere
Sphere is a vase designed for fresh flowers, dried flowers and use as a room fragrance diffuser. The outer surface combines deep grooves and clear lines to create a depth effect that changes with the viewing angle and the incidence of light. Sphere is 3D printed from bio-based PLA, and each vase takes between 5 and 15 hours to produce, depending on size. A waterproof inner container, also 3D printed, is made of recyclable polypropylene. Production uses self-generated solar electricity. Sphere is offered in three sizes.
Sphere Vase by Nicolas Woll was identified as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Sphere Vase earned the Golden A' Design Award in Homeware Design in 2025. The A' Decorative Items and Homeware Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which rewards outstanding design of tableware, lighting fixtures, cookware, decorative accessories, bathroom accessories, furniture, textiles, kitchen gadgets and more.
