Curved
Curved is a chair made of natural Indonesian rattan. The design combines traditional rattan weaving craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Smooth curved rattan lines recall the mountains and flowing water of traditional Chinese ink paintings. The form is shaped by hand through material selection, steaming, hot bending, shaping, polishing and painting. The armrest height, the leg stability and the curves of the seat and the backrest follow ergonomic study and support the waist and back. The chair measures 630 by 850 by 900 millimeters and suits indoor and outdoor settings.
Curved Chair by GongWei was recognized as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Curved Chair was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that recognizes exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
