Samarqand
Samarqand is a packaging design for Qazvin baklava, a traditional Iranian sweet made mainly from powdered pistachios. The cardboard box is printed by offset with a UV base and finished with a matte water based coating that creates a tactile texture. Embossing adds detail and focus in selected areas, while metallic green and gold colours suggest value. The illustration combines traditional and modern Iranian styles, using pistachio images and diamond shapes that recall the form of the pastry. A single unit box is also offered for smaller purchases.

Samarqand Baklava Qazvin Packaging Design received the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that rewards exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
