Kweichow Moutai Baijiu Packaging

Kweichow Moutai

Kweichow Moutai is a packaging design for a Chinese spirit sold in Japan. The bottle shape is based on the classic Moutai bottle and takes the colors and character of Ru Kiln porcelain, which began in the Tang dynasty. The calligraphy on the package comes from a poem by the Japanese poet Prince Nagaya, written during the Tang dynasty. The same phrase appeared on relief supplies sent from Japan to Wuhan, recalling long cultural exchange between the two countries. The package measures 77 by 77 by 173 millimeters. The design serves as a medium for cultural exchange.

Kweichow Moutai Baijiu Packaging by Heijie He has been highlighted as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Kweichow Moutai Baijiu Packaging received the Golden A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that rewards exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
