Danquan 168
Danquan 168 is a packaging design for a premium sauce flavoured Baijiu produced in Nandan, Guangxi. The bottle is made of high borosilicate glass with a titanium plated surface, shaped by 3D embossing and laser engraving with a precision of 0.1 millimetres. The engraved textures recall the sedimentary formations of limestone caves and refract light when the bottle is turned. The outer box uses a layered structure that abstracts the local cave landscape. The packaging measures 180 by 108 by 290 millimetres and links the regional cave ageing tradition to the product.
Danquan 168 Cave Aging Premium Liquor by Chuangyi Packaging Design Co., Ltd. in Chengdu was identified as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Danquan 168 Cave Aging Premium Liquor won the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that recognizes exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
