Silent Light
The Silence of Light is a residential interior design for a 66 square meter home in Taichung City, Taiwan. The layout is open, so cooking, dining and relaxing can flow without rigid boundaries. A low saturation monochromatic palette is combined with titanium coated panels, stone textured surfaces, warm wood flooring and soft fabrics. Layered natural and artificial lighting is used to limit energy consumption and to shape a calm atmosphere. Clean lines, refined edges and seamless transitions support a slower and more mindful way of living.
Silent Light Residential House by Jian You Jhe has been identified as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Silent Light Residential House received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
