Serene Elegance
Serene Elegance is a residential interior design for the communal areas of a home. The entryway, living room, dining room and kitchen are defined by spatial partitioning instead of closed walls. Walls were removed and relocated to improve the use of the area, and a small room was opened to connect the living room and the kitchen. A television wall and an island divide the open layout. Large windows bring in daylight, while neutral tones and flowing lines create a calm atmosphere. Environmentally friendly building materials were used throughout.
Serene Elegance Residential House by YI HSIANG CHENG was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Serene Elegance Residential House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
