Day Go is a sustainable modular armchair inspired by the silhouette of a traditional Taiwanese teapot, reimagining Eastern hospitality into a modern, enveloping form. Engineered for the Circular Economy, its unified aesthetic conceals a glue free Design for Disassembly structure. The plush seat integrates with a hidden recyclable base housing a smooth 360 degree swivel mechanism. This design enables future parts replacement and material separation, balancing cultural storytelling with sustainable industrial utility.
Day Go Modular Armchair by Hsieh-jen Lee was identified as a grand representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Day Go Modular Armchair was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2026. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
