Animitta
Animitta is a residential interior design located in Taichung, Taiwan, covering a site area of 248 square meters. Fixed partitions are replaced by a central structural column that acts as the spatial axis and organizes a radial circulation loop. Functions are defined by furniture arrangements, while a rotating art wall allows areas to shift between open and secluded states. Folded metal panels, white finishes and curvilinear solid wood flooring support the sense of flow. Diagonal seismic elements are left exposed as a geometric feature.
Animitta Residence by Xianhui Huang has been highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Animitta Residence earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
