X Modular Lamp
X Modular Lamp is a reconfigurable lighting system for residential and commercial spaces. The design is centered on an X-hinge mechanism with two rotating X-shaped frames. Users adjust the frames by hand to change the light direction and the sculptural form. The lamp can be combined with other modules, hung from a ceiling or placed on a surface. Each module folds flat for compact transport and storage. The structure is made of aluminum alloy, and the diffuser is made of acrylic. Magnetic connectors allow assembly without tools.
X Modular Lamp Illumination by Shixiao Feng was identified as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. X Modular Lamp Illumination earned the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2026. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which rewards outstanding design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
