Weaving
Weaving is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan for a family of three generations. Including the balcony, the interior area measures about 83 square meters. The original four-bedroom layout was reconfigured into three bedrooms with an open study and a tatami room. The television wall combines blanc travertine and Moonlight Beige stone along a curved edge that is aligned with the floor joints. The tatami room is built of solid Japanese hinoki with mortise-and-tenon joints and a diamond-pattern woven ceiling. Low cabinets keep the social area open and accessible.
Weaving Residence by Xiang Dao Design was featured as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Weaving Residence received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
