Taoxichuan
Taoxichuan is a scroll illustration created for a ceramic culture district in Jingdezhen. The illustration presents 600 years of porcelain history and the development of the district in one continuous composition. A flat painting style and bright colors build a fantasy porcelain forest in which plants, porcelain and figures are blended. Three original characters, the Kiln God, the Wine God and the Sea God, appear along the route. The vector artwork is layered for flexible cropping and prepared in both CMYK and RGB. The scroll also works as a narrative map that guides visitors.
Taoxichuan Visual Design by Wu Yao was highlighted as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Taoxichuan Visual Design earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2026. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
