Humming Tree Dining Table

Humming Tree

Humming Tree is a dining table that also works as a floor vase. The central opening holds tall dry or fresh flowers, leaves and tree branches. The form is inspired by the arrow head shape of the Taro leaf, with its midrib, veins and clean blade. The leaf structure is split into two parts, a skin layer and a bone layer, and the leaf form appears where the two layers overlap. The table is made of polycarbonate and steel and measures 1400 by 950 by 750 millimetres. The see through design brings natural elements closer to diners in city homes.

Humming Tree Dining Table by Heloise Rajkumari was selected as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Humming Tree Dining Table was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2015. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
