Infinite Series
Infinite Series is a collection of rings formed by continuous stream lines. The lines flow over each ring from front to back and from inside to outside, folded and overlaid. The design offers a visual experience that follows a continuous loop in three dimensions. Such a loop cannot be shown in two dimensions and is understood only by observing the ring as a three-dimensional object. The patterns and shapes were generated with a computational dynamic design system. Each ring is made by wax printing and cast in matte black steel.
Infinite Series Ring by SoomeenHahm Design was highlighted as an innovative illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Infinite Series Ring received the Silver A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2018. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that honors superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
