Michurinsky Prospect
The station "Michurinsky Prospect" is a part of the Moscow Metro system. It has a 3 level semi-underground structure. Patterns on the walls of the facade, interior space and columns facing the movement of the passengers accompany them from the entrance of the subway to the coach. They form a solid visual row in all parts of the structure. Red and orange intersecting elements of flowering branches and ripe fruit trees symbolize the abundance in the gardens, due to the achievements in the field of plant breeding of the famous Russian biologist I.V. Michurin.
Michurinsky Prospect Metro Station by Liudmila Shurygina has been highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Michurinsky Prospect Metro Station was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2019. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
