Nostalgic Tunes
Le Ble D'or is a restaurant and bar interior in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, completed in May 2016. The design follows a nostalgic industrial theme. Recycled iron pieces are joined with wood veneer, and the joining angles and colors were adjusted repeatedly to create varied visual effects from the same materials. Mottled beer bottle walls and a large false window bring an image of continuous oxidation into the interior. Dark materials and careful color use capture subtle changes of light and shadow. The layout aims to create a strong sense of time and a close link between the space and its visitors.
Nostalgic Tunes Restaurant by Li Shou Hung has been recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Nostalgic Tunes Restaurant earned the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
