Acorn Leisure Chair
Acorn Leisure Chair is a multifunctional seat inspired by the shape of an acorn. The backrest follows the curve of the human back and supports a correct sitting posture for reading and other calm activities. The frame is made of solid wood, shaped by computer controlled cutting and hand grinding, and is completed with metal lines bent by hand heating. The wood and metal parts are joined with hardware and can be taken apart for transport. A large open space under the seat can be used for storage or as a resting place for pets.
Acorn Leisure Chair Multipurpose by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 was featured as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Acorn Leisure Chair Multipurpose won the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2020. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
