Light Impression
Light Impression is a residential interior design for a home of approximately 182 square feet. The plan responds to the needs of a couple and their preschool children. Partition materials keep the common area semi-open, so children can move freely. Solid wood, iron, marble, glass and solid wood flooring are the main materials. A grille screen marks the entrance, and a log wall gives the living area a natural touch. A sliding door links a multipurpose room to the corridor and brightens a once dark walkway. Low-formaldehyde wood and environmentally friendly paint are used.
Light Impression Residential Space by CHIEH CHIH YU has been selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Light Impression Residential Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
