Madam Platinum
Madam Platinum is a residential interior design created for a retired couple in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The home covers about 93 square meters and contains a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, a study, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Safety features are integrated into the interior so that they remain visually discreet. A wall-like partition defines an independent entrance area with storage, and a long bench extends from the dining area for putting on and taking off shoes. Structural columns are softened by lighting strips, chamfers and decorative items.
Madam Platinum Residence by Wen Yin Chen has been highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Madam Platinum Residence earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
