Rebirth
Rebirth is an office interior design created inside a forty year old warehouse on the ground level of a narrow lane. The interior walls were removed to expose the brick walls and concrete plywood, which improves ventilation, adjusts moisture and reduces wall mold. Glass and iron pieces replace carpentry, so parts can be removed, recycled and reused. A glass entrance brings daylight inside and links the indoor and outdoor space. A corridor paved with wood pattern tiles connects the reception and the work area. Plants grow in the seams of the walls.
Rebirth Office by KAO SHIH CHIEH has been recognized as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Rebirth Office was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
