Float
Float is a pendant lamp designed for interior spaces. The shade is shaped from bent aluminium sheet and floats between two cylindrical parts, leaving a visible gap between the elements. The other components are turned and milled aluminium with a powder coated finish. The light source uses LED technology with a diffuser made of PMMA. The lamp measures 1200 mm in diameter and 170 mm in height. Float hangs from the ceiling on two anchor points, and a slim aluminium box conceals the wiring. No fasteners are visible, yet each element can be detached and replaced.
Float Pendant Lamp by Kinknot has been selected as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Float Pendant Lamp won the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2020. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which celebrates excellent design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
