Combine
Combine is an open-plan office interior completed in Shanghai in 2019. The design follows a grey color scheme and a calm, contemporary character. A long table lit from below runs through the space, recalling a library setting. Two continuous arch-shaped doors and a brick wall add rhythm and depth. Carpet is used on the floor for acoustic comfort, while fire-proof board defines the functional zones and holds storage. Glass partitions bring daylight into the meeting rooms. Energy-saving LED fixtures light the interior.
Combine Office by Carlie Ling - K.D Hsu has been featured as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Combine Office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
