Xarin
Xarin is a series of labels created for a range of farm wines. Each label measures 30 by 135 millimetres and combines an unusual geometry with a concise layout. The shape is drawn from the alcohol meter and from the tall barrels used for wine aging, and it follows the curves of the bottle. The labels are produced on textured paper with flexographic printing and raised gloss varnish. A gift box of 100 by 330 millimetres is made of wood. The aim is to make the packaging easy to notice among many wine labels at points of sale.
Xarin Series of Labels for the Farm Wines by Albert Fedchenko has been featured as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Xarin Series of Labels for the Farm Wines was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
