Tea and Pastry Mid-Autumn Festival Gifts

Tea and Pastry

Tea and Pastry is a gift packaging set created for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The set holds two boxes in one package, containing black tea and Su style shortbread. The surface layout is simple and plain. An ink painting shows a tea mountain, and fine lines outline the pastry. The rubbing and ink effects add an elegant character. The packaging is made of kraft paper. The design refers to the tradition of storing tea in a clay pot, which reflects lasting affection between people. The intent is to convey friendship through a modest gift.

Tea and Pastry Mid-Autumn Festival Gifts by Weiquan Long has been identified as a creative example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Tea and Pastry Mid-Autumn Festival Gifts was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which celebrates superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
