Macys Website
Macy's website is an e-commerce platform that allows customers to shop the Macy's assortment online. The website was redesigned in 2019 in direct response to customer feedback, resulting in a clean, simple and fashion-inspired design. The layout draws on fashion media and consumer technology products, and it aims to distinguish Macy's from competing retailers. Modern responsive web technologies were used, so the site can be viewed on laptop computers, tablets and smartphones. User experience research guided the redesign, including surveys, interviews and usability testing.
Macys Website Redesign by Willy Lai was recognized as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Macys Website Redesign earned the Golden A' Design Award in Website and Web Design in 2020. The A' Website and Web Design Awards is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which rewards superior design of web design, portfolios, E-Commerce sites, blogs, news websites, social media platforms, educational websites, Non-Profit websites, personal websites and more.
