83 Bands
83 Bands is a bar interior in Shanghai that serves cocktails and champagne. The design covers 300 square meters and follows a route from the porch to the front hall, then to the atrium and the back garden. Lighting is the main element. Each fixture uses an RGB digital dimming lamp with a very wide color range, and preset programming recreates the warm tones of sunset and a slow breathing effect. Colors can be adjusted when the bar is leased for other events. The main materials are cement, stainless steel, Changhong glass, terrazzo, mirror and sound-absorbing plywood.
83 Bands Bar by Rui Yang was selected as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. 83 Bands Bar earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
