Islamic
The design concept was based on two elements. The client's passion for Islamic architecture that shows on most of the investment projects he has accomplished. The project location is in the second holiest city in the Islamic culture which is Al Madinah al Monawara, Saudi Arabia. What was unique about this project is to preserve the culture and traditions of the ancient city, merging the project with the surrounding environment and highlighting the cultural identity. The project is located in a high-temperature climate region so the designer used materials suitable for the climate.
Islamic Villa by AHMED SAMY ELMESALLAMY was featured as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Islamic Villa was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2020. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that rewards excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
