Jiu Ming Tang
Jiu Ming Tang is a gift packaging design for Chinese liquor linked to the Dragon Boat Festival. The outer box is made of environmentally friendly paper and shaped with a hot pressing process. A red seal refers to a traditional Chinese wish for good luck. The seal is torn open and the box unfolds like a scroll, which invites interaction. The plain outer surface contrasts with colorful festival illustrations inside, creating a strong visual effect. The design brings traditional festival elements into a modern package to support cultural identity.
Jiu Ming Tang Liquor by Wang Qi Jun has been highlighted as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Jiu Ming Tang Liquor was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
