Linglong
Shimu is a residential interior design for a penthouse on the shore of Jinji Lake in Suzhou. The renovated area is 470 square meters. The main hall opens to a south facing panoramic window, so sunlight enters easily and the lake and the green planting come into view. A glass panel of 6.6 by 2.5 meters was lifted and installed to widen the view. A minimalist fireplace marks the main room. The living room, the dining room and the western kitchen are joined in one open space. Floor and ceiling share a single material for visual simplicity.
Linglong Interior Space by JIN WANG was featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Linglong Interior Space won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
