Mini Opera House
Mini Opera House is a residential interior design for an apartment of 265 square meters in Taiwan. The home was planned for a family of three. The layout was rearranged to include one large bedroom and one small bedroom. Hidden doors decorated with moldings separate the private areas, as the plan has no hallways. A carved wood door and a mirror mark the entryway. A white wood kitchen island replaces the dining table, and gray hexagon tiles add contrast. In the children's room, a bunk bed joined to a wardrobe and a bookcase saves space.
Mini Opera House Residential Apartment by Szu Wen Wang was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Mini Opera House Residential Apartment received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
