The Meaninghall Tea
The Meaninghall Tea is a packaging design for Biluochun green tea. Biluochun is a green tea produced in Luxiang, a small town beside Tai Lake in Suzhou, China. The packaging is made of special art paper with a mottled texture that recalls the old walls of the town center. Simple line graphics combine the symbols of the mountain, the lake and the hall into one landscape image. Hot stamping is applied to express the natural character of the tea. Elaborate illustration is avoided, so the local culture is presented in a calm and contemporary way.
The Meaninghall Tea Biluochun Tea Package by Suzhou SoFeng Design Co.,Ltd. has been selected as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. The Meaninghall Tea Biluochun Tea Package won the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
