Qiantang
Qiantang is a restaurant interior located in Hangzhou and covering 300 square meters. Brass, marble and silk glass are combined throughout the space. Metallic copper outlines frames within large areas of gray, creating a sense of order. A brass dome defines the main dining area. Gray white marble tabletops respond to silk glass partitions, and the floor is laid with black marble tiles. Screens, tables, chairs and tableware are custom designed. Lighting is varied by function, so each area presents a different scene. Song dynasty motifs are interpreted in a contemporary manner.
Qiantang Restaurant by Zhixue Wei was highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Qiantang Restaurant received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
