Elegance of Wood
Elegant Whirling of Wood is a residential interior design for a home of 117 square meters in Taichung City, Taiwan. The layout includes an entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, tatami room, guest room, further bedrooms and bathrooms. Large teak and mahogany logs owned by the client are used throughout, including a table board 12 centimeters thick and 3.6 meters long in the television cabinet. Black, white and grey tones, iron elements, glass and natural stone balance the weight of the wood. The innermost room was turned into a tatami room to add daylight.
Elegance of Wood Residential by Tzu-Yi Yang and Chun Chun Yang has been featured as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Elegance of Wood Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
