Hushan
Jinzhong Kylin Mansion Hushan is an art gallery and club interior of 650 square meters in Shenzhen, completed in 2019. Most areas are connected, so the transitions between zones stay open and the atmosphere remains calm. A display wall outside the book bar holds a range of artworks. Thin wooden fences serve as partitions and continue into the outer space. Stone flooring with a rippled pattern suggests still water. A lantern made of light transmitting white lacquered glass marks the reception area. Chinese aesthetics are combined with modern building methods.
Hushan Art Gallery by Yang Yuan has been selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hushan Art Gallery won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
