Youngor Store
Youngor Fashion Concept Store is a retail interior design covering 5000 square meters. The original building is a half sphere with a glass facade. The interior was fully removed and an umbrella-shaped core tube was built at the center. Random perforations in the umbrella surface allow natural light to enter and create a soft light and shadow effect. The core tube holds an elevator and connects the floors. Wide steps at the entrance serve for product display and for sitting. Metal mesh, plaited bamboo and terrazzo were used.
Youngor Store Showroom by Jeffrey Zee was identified as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Youngor Store Showroom won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
