Jinxiu
Jinxiu is a restaurant interior located inside a commercial complex in Nanjing. The design covers 400 square meters and works with the many existing columns of the building. The columns are used to plan the flow line and the placement of the dining seats, giving the space a clear hierarchy. The layout follows a central axis that creates a sense of sequence. Forms are drawn from the abstract shape of a bright moon and from Jiangnan garden techniques, with rock and window scenery as decoration. Sea base cloth covers the walls and is hand painted with waterproof latex paint.
Jinxiu Restaurant by Anfei Ge was identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Jinxiu Restaurant won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
