Symbiotic Sustainability
Symbiotic Sustainability is an office interior of 500 square meters in Taichung City, Taiwan. The layout divides the space into front, middle and rear areas, holding a conference area, a reading area and individual work booths. Book walls act as the main element and store a large number of books, with room for future growth. Light colored materials ease eye strain during long working hours. Carpets in the conference area reduce floor noise and dust. A heat exchanger filters fine particles to improve air quality. Floor-to-ceiling windows link the interior with the planted outdoor space.
Symbiotic Sustainability Office by Hsu Fu Chu was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Symbiotic Sustainability Office was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
