SU2 Etno
The SU-2 Kiteboards Etno Collection is a series of kiteboards inspired by African design and tradition. The collection consists of five board types, and each type is intended for a different activity, including lightwind, freestyle and split boards. The split boards are composed of three elements. Each board is made of wood and carbon, and measures 450 mm in width and 1480 to 1550 mm in length. Colorful printed patterns recall traditional masks and shields. The graphics are applied by digital printing. The collection was developed in Poland between 2017 and 2019.
SU2 Etno Kiteboard by Mateusz Obarek has been featured as an outstanding example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. SU2 Etno Kiteboard won the Silver A' Design Award in Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design in 2020. The A' Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which honors outstanding design of basketballs, tennis rackets, yoga mats, running shoes, dumbbells, bicycles, boxing gloves, swim goggles and more.
