Xiao Jing
Xiao Jing is a hard-shell suitcase inspired by the leather straps once used to secure luggage during travel. The front shell carries a raised grid shape that recalls crossed straps, with a cross pattern at each intersection resembling sewing thread. The grid also strengthens the shell against pressure. A three-layer shell provides strength and wear resistance, and the surface is finished with an electronic scrub treatment. Sliding bearings keep movement smooth and quiet. The interior is divided into separate spaces for clothes, toiletries, documents and electronics.
Xiao Jing Suitcase by Fa Zaiyong has been identified as an exceptional example of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Xiao Jing Suitcase was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Fashion and Travel Accessories Design in 2020. The A' Fashion and Travel Accessories Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that rewards excellent design of handbags, scarves, belts, luggage, hats, travel bags, cravats, gloves, wallets and more.
