Caring Times
Caring Times in a Distinctive Space is a residential interior design of 215 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. Certified green building materials are used, and the whole space is laid out for full accessibility. The use of leather is deliberately minimized. Rooms are organized by function, and grayish white is the keynote color, chosen for a calm and simple effect. Inessential walls were removed to retain natural light. The low beams are concealed and turned into vertical surfaces, and storage is integrated into the circulation.
Caring Times Residential Interior Design by Chia-Peng Chen has been selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Caring Times Residential Interior Design received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
