Yi Music
Yi Music is a website designed to present the music and culture of the Yi people, a minority nationality in southwest China. Icons on the site are drawn from traditional Yi patterns and architecture. The home page uses a green circle to represent the sun and the moon, which hold an important place in Yi belief. Visitors can listen to songs by Yi singers and create a personal music poster to share. A history page explains traditional instruments and their sounds, a game page tests listening skills, and an online shop offers albums.
Yi Music Website by Xu Manye was identified as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yi Music Website earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Website and Web Design in 2020. The A' Website and Web Design Awards is a highly prestigious international design prize that rewards outstanding design of web design, portfolios, E-Commerce sites, blogs, news websites, social media platforms, educational websites, Non-Profit websites, personal websites and more.
