Pop Pop
Pop Pop is a winter seasonal event design created for eight duty-free stores in Korea. The project combines cultural elements with retail space to offer more than a shopping experience. A Santa Village theme brings together winter, Christmas and gifts, recalling precious moments of travel. Illustrations of characters, animals and trees are joined by overlapping lines, so the images can be read like a puzzle. Neon-flex lighting, acrylic and fomex are used to add color and light to the white architectural space.
Pop Pop Santa Village by TIST was identified as a grand illustration of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pop Pop Santa Village was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Event and Happening Design in 2020. The A' Event and Happening Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of trade fairs, award ceremonies, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, product launches, charity events and more.
