Dengo
Dengo 80g is a chocolate bar created for Dengo Chocolates. The sculptural shape represents elements of the Atlantic Forest in Bahia, Brazil, where the cacao is harvested, such as dry leaves, foliage and seeds. Curved surfaces combine two-dimensional and three-dimensional lines, so the polished finish reflects light across the bar. The bar is produced in polycarbonate moulds made from CNC machined aluminium templates, which hold the fine lines and curves. The varied thickness gives a crisp snap when the bar is broken.
Dengo Chocolate Bar by Brazil & Murgel has been highlighted as a grand illustration of product design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dengo Chocolate Bar won the Golden A' Design Award in Food, Beverage and Culinary Arts Design in 2020. The A' Food, Beverage and Culinary Arts Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors excellent design of design for food, design with food, food servings, tasting menus, cocktails, desserts, entrées, main dishes, culinary experiences and more.
