Zodiacville Runners
Zodiacville Runners is an illustrated children's fairy tale about the animals of Zodiacville, which join a running festival hosted by the Dragon King. The illustrations combine features of traditional Korean minhwa painting with a digital pointillism style. Many faint dots were layered one by one, inspired by an oriental back-painting technique. The book measures 260 by 260 millimetres and has rounded corners for safety. Part one presents the story for children, while part two offers learning guides and supplementary material for educators.
Zodiacville Runners Illustration by Juyeon Park has been identified as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Zodiacville Runners Illustration won the Bronze A' Design Award in Print and Published Media Design in 2021. The A' Print and Published Media Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of brochures, posters, magazines, catalogs, flyers, business cards, billboards, books and more.
