Blue Sky Lab 2021
Blue Sky Lab 2021 is a collection of bags, storage items and apparel made from materials left over from automotive manufacturing. The storage boxes are made from Haptex BASF leather, while the carry-on bags, backpacks and garments are made from safety airbag fabric and safety belts. The storage boxes can be used at home or inside a car, and the bags suit many everyday environments. The collection reuses premium materials that would otherwise be discarded. The aim is to reduce resource consumption and to support sustainable fashion.
Blue Sky Lab 2021 Travel and Collection by NIO Life has been selected as an exceptional representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Blue Sky Lab 2021 Travel and Collection was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design in 2022. The A' Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that recognizes superior design of runway collections, dresses, suits, skirts, outerwear, jackets, apparel, garments and more.
