Trido
Trido is a set of magnetic building blocks used to create decorative objects. The set is based on the geometry of Platonic solids, using tetrahedron, octahedron and half-tetrahedron shapes. A patented magnetic system allows every side of every piece to connect to another, aligning along the edges without repelling. Thousands of forms can be assembled, such as a sculpture, a vase, a mask or a holder. The pieces are made of ABS plastic, and the magnets are hidden inside an inner nest. Six color palettes are offered.
Trido Magnetic Building Blocks by Artur Tikhonenko was highlighted as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Trido Magnetic Building Blocks earned the Iron A' Design Award in Homeware Design in 2023. The A' Decorative Items and Homeware Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that honors superior design of tableware, lighting fixtures, cookware, decorative accessories, bathroom accessories, furniture, textiles, kitchen gadgets and more.
